NSA Mass Surveillance programs are making ALL Americans LESS safe
Posted on 08:25 by Unknown
We are already starting to see a backlash from around the world against the NSA surveillance programs spying on just about EVERYONE.
Germany, Australia and New Zealand - to name but three.
We are already seeing a small backlash against the tech companies involved.
DuckDuckGo has seen it's traffic rise by 50% in the last 8 days.
Maybe Google has already started to see a small decline in it's business, hence it's feeble PR attempt to file a lawsuit against being forced to keep it's dealings with the NSA private.
Over a million people have now signed the international petition to grant Edward Snowden immunity from prosecution and to stop Prism Mass Surveillance.
Most of the signatories are from Europe, but a sizeable number are from countries like Brazil and Australia.
These trends are only going to get worse as more and more people become aware of the extent and scope of the NSA's massive surveillance program.
Word is only just starting to get out on this.
It will make hundreds of millions of people around the globe be even more against America than they already are.
It will definitely NOT make Americans any safer.
Update
Journalists are already worried about how much the NSA is spying on them and being careful what they write and what they talk about over the phone or otherwise communicate.

The swapping of thoughts, ideas and stories by journalists is healthy, the suppression of it is not.
Political activists such as Occupy, Climate Change and Keystone are worried about the same thing.
One of the fundamental rights in any democracy is the right to peaceful protest.
It keeps the government in check.
The primary purpose of the NSA Mass Surveillance programs is to blackmail and intimidate any form of dissent against the government.
Democracies only survive if there is free information, a free press and people are comfortable in speaking out or protesting.
Our democracy is existentially threatened by these surveillance programs.
