How do we change the political status quo? All suggestions are welcome

Posted on 01:50 by Unknown

Currently there are about one to two million people who have a fair idea of how this country is run.
Out of an electorate of 210 million.
208 million people have absolutely NO idea how this country is run.

The mainstream media and the education system are certainly not going to tell people how the country is actually run. They are both designed to maintain the status quo of an oligarchy / plutocracy and are specifically designed to keep the population UNINFORMED and unable to think.

We need at least another 10 million informed people.
I have no idea the best way of going about that.
All suggestions are welcome.
98%+ of the people who voted in 2012, voted for Goldman Sachs.

If all of the 1-2 million managed to inform and persuade 5 people a year.
We would have our 12 million in only a year or so.

If those 12 million all went out and each informed 5 new people we would have 60 million people. Roughly the number that won the election.

The sole purpose of this blog is to provide information that can be used to persuade other people.
There are nearly 500 articles on here, at least half of them are still pertinent and current.

A couple of good starters are :-

How to fix America's economy and create jobs and prosperity again
http://ian56.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/how-to-fix-americas-economy-create-jobs.html

CBO projections of future growth rates and deficits are pure fantasy
http://ian56.blogspot.co.uk/2013/03/cbo-projections-of-future-gdp-growth.html

Follow the links in the above articles.

Demographics, the country is :-
40% Independent
33% Dems
27% GOP

Independents are the easiest to persuade, followed by the younger generation.

Both of these groups are already pretty upset about the duopoly of the current "two" party system.
It doesn't matter which party you vote in, nothing changes.
The 99% get screwed and the top 0.5% make hay.

People who have been brainwashed by sitting in front of the gogglebox for 20+ years are the hardest.
The young get most of their info from the internet - not the TV.

It is Generation X and younger that are going to pay the heaviest price for the grave mistakes of the last 20 to 50 years.

The whole theme of American (and other countries) politics is to split the electorate straight down the middle while the banks and some other large corporations run off with $2tn a year of middle class wealth (just in America).

The milk of the middle class wealth is now running dry.
There are very hard times ahead with increasing unemployment and lower real disposable incomes.

People are going to get angrier. They will become easier to persuade.

We also need to use the same tactics, used against the population in general.
We need to set GOP Establishment figures against GOP Establishment figures.
We need to set Dem Establishment figures against Dem Establishment figures.
Etc.

We also need to support people that are trying to change the status quo.
There are only a handful of those currently in Congress.
Maybe 6 or so out of 535.

N.B. The $2tn of wealth transfer from the 99% does not all end up in the hands of the top 0.5%.
There are overheads - it does cost some money to employ people to manufacture drones for example.
Perhaps 10 to 20% of the money ends up in the hands of the top 0.5%.
$300bn is still an awful lot of money to spread around 1.5 million people. It's about $200 million each a year.

But about 90% of that wealth transfer goes to the top 0.1%.

Even within the top 0.1%, 90% of the money goes to the top 0.01% and so on.
A very small number of people are getting incredibly rich out of this deal - most of this wealth gets hidden in trust funds. These are the people that are really pulling the strings.
The top 0.5% to 0.1% (which includes most of the politicians) just get some crumbs from the table - a few million a year.
