Censored by Huffington Post - GW Bush's legacy

Posted on 08:03 by Unknown

"GW Bush's legacy

Wasted over $5tn on counter productive wars which just created more enemies and made America less safe, while China signed up half the world in trade deals for free without firing a bullet.

Increased the size of government and the Welfare State.

Was a reckless spender, doubling the National Debt in just 8 years.

Shredded the Constitution and instigated the introduction of the Police State with warrantless domestic spying and indefinite detention without trial.

Made America a laughing stock around the world, with a good deal of contempt thrown in for good measure with things like extraordinary rendition and torture.

Created financial Armageddon in the housing bubble and crash.

Greatly increased the level of corruption in government with no bid contracts etc. awarded to companies like Halliburton.

Had the worst job creation record of any President since WW2.

Made everyone except the top 0.5% worse off.

But as GW Bush himself says, his legacy will be written up in the history books.

And the history books when they are written, in 30 years time or so, will record that he was the worst President in American history.
And the history will probably be written up in Mandarin. The winners always get to write the history."

GW Bush's Presidency confirms the truism that the Founders were and the Chinese are only too well aware of.
Trade makes nations wealthy, war and excessive military spending makes nations poor."

The above comment was removed by Huffington Post after receiving about 10 up votes in 10 minutes.

It is quite illuminating that factual comments critical of GW Bush's Presidency should be censored on Huffington Post.

I didn't even include my comments on Barack Obama's legacy, as I knew if I did the comment wouldn't get published.

Barack Obama's Legacy

For the sake of balance the history books will also record that Barack Obama was the second worst American President in history for his continuation of Bush's Neocon Fascist policies and America's steepening decline as a world power.
Not only a continuation but an expansion.
Obama has expanded the Police state, exponentially increasing the warrantless domestic spying program, codifying indefinite detention and effectively repealing Posse Comitatus.
Obama has increased military spending by more than 50% from what Bush spent. America is now spending
triple on the military compared to what it spent during the cold war against the USSR in the 60's to 80's.
Obama has increased the level of corruption and Corporate Welfare in government - even from Bush levels.
He has also made bankers and Monsanto immune from prosecution whatever crimes they choose to commit.
Not only have the big banks not been punished for their numerous crimes they are now getting $1tn a year handed to them every year.

A lot of Democrats wondered why Barack Obama did not set out to prosecute Bush/Cheney for their obvious crimes, when Obama was elected.
The answer to that is simple. They have the same bosses - the financial elites, the big banks, the arms companies and other large Corporations.
They are on the same team and have the same policies.
Except on social policy, you cannot get a cigarette paper between Bush/Cheney and Barack Obama.
And Goldman Sachs, Jamie Dimon, Halliburton, Raytheon and Monsanto etc. don't care two hoots about social policy.
