An inconvenient truth for Barack Obama - He is a Corporatist NOT a Democrat
Posted on 03:23 by Unknown
No senior bankers are in jail for the crimes they committed.
None have even been prosecuted.
The big banks are getting over $1tn a year in bailouts and Federal subsidies.
He insisted that ALL of the over $1.3tn of annual Corporate Welfare was retained in the Fiscal Cliff deal.
Handed the middle class and working poor a $200bn annual tax hike.
Raised military spending by 50% over Bush.
Is now spending TRIPLE what the US spent during the cold war (inflation adjusted).
The military budget for 2012 was $1,219bn.
Signed the Monsanto Protection Act.
Has installed lots of senior ex-Monsanto staff in the FDA and elsewhere in government.
Lets big pharma make huge profits by charging exorbitant amounts for prescription drugs.
Spends $105bn a year on employing 7,000 private mercenaries in Iraq.
Spends 70% of the $85bn a year intelligence budget on private contractors.
Retains the Federal subsidies to the oil business, despite big oil having already had a decade of record profits
Continues with policies that mean a drastic decline in real wages and disposable incomes of ordinary people, while ensuring that large Corporations continue to make record profits.
Has proposed that social security and other benefits be linked to chained cpi which would effectively render them worthless in 10 or 20 years time.
Is in favor of :-
indefinite detention of Americans
kill lists - Americans are on them
the effective repeal of Posse Comitatus - allowing the military to perform law enforcement on the streets of American cities
Renewed the Patriot Act
Exponentially increased the NSA's Mass Surveillance programs to enable spying on EVERY American and their every move
Built a new $2bn data center in Utah for the NSA to store the vast amounts of data they are now collecting
Instituted a change to regulations so that the Pentagon could unilaterally take over dealing with "civil disturbances" without any permission or consent from the civil authorities
Did not even entertain the possibility of prosecuting Bush/Cheney for war crimes, crimes against humanity and lying to the American people.
He brushed it under the carpet as fast as he could.
I could go on.
You cannot blame the Republicans in Congress for the above.
Obama had a choice.
And he chose Corporations over ordinary people.
He does not sound much like a Democrat to me.
That's even before we get to the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP).
TPP's agenda is to allow large corporations to over ride National Sovereignty and Laws.
It has been described as Nafta on steroids.

There is no doubt that Barack Obama has been bought lock, stock and barrel by the big banks, arms companies, big pharma, Monsanto etc.
There is no doubt that Barack Obama is a CORPORATIST not a Democrat.
Over 90% of Congress are Corporatists too.
"Fascism should be more accurately called Corporatism because it is the merger of State and Corporate power." Benito Mussolini
Update 07/21
DFA: Obama's budget is "disgusting."
It swaps Social Security payments for even more Pentagon Pork.
Massive military spending is one of the hallmarks of a Fascist regime - America is now spending 8% of GDP on the military, $1,219bn in 2012.

Update 07/27
Dems still try and insist that somehow it is the GOP that is blocking Obama from helping the 99%.
The example of the on-going large subsidies to big oil is an enlightening example here.
Big oil has had a decade of record profits - they are still making huge profits.
Obama could of said I am going to only raise the payroll tax by 1% instead of 2% and I am going to pay for it by ending the subsidies to big oil.
How could the GOP of blocked that? They would of looked stupid - the court of public opinion would absolutely overwhelmingly backed the move.
But Obama did not suggest that.
Why not?
You don't need the approval of Congress to prosecute absolute criminals - like the banksters.
Even if Congress approves a huge budget for the military - Obama does not have to spend it. He especially does not have to spend it on things like hiring large numbers of Blackwater mercenaries.
Obama did not have to sign the Monsanto Protection Act - he could of vetoed just about all of the bills that have been passed during his tenure.
Absolutely ALL of them have been bad bills.
There are a HUGE number of things that Obama could of done already to help the 99% instead of the top 0.1% and large Corporations.
He hasn't even suggested anything at all to help the 99%.
The ONLY things he has done have helped the top 0.1% at the expense of the 99%.
