Unanswered questions from the Benghazi hearings & the Obama/Clinton cover up Updated 08/07

Loads of stuff that has yet to come out on Benghazi. 

Like the CIA drone base about 30 miles East of Benghazi. 
What assets were there? 
This is presumably where the drone reported flying overhead during the attack came from. 
Would it of been possible to arm a drone from there?

What happened in the meeting between the Turkish emissary and Christopher Stevens a few days before Christopher Stevens death? 

Why did Chris Stevens hold his meetings in a relatively poorly defended rented villa, instead of at the relatively secure CIA drone base nearby? 

Was it to discuss the latest shipment of arms from Benghazi to Islamic Extremists in the FSA in Syria? 
The London Times reported one shipment of 400 tons of arms from Benghazi to Syria via Turkey. The weapons included RPG's and shoulder launched ground to air missiles, which ended up in the hands of Islamic Extremists. 

Or perhaps the Turkish emissary wanted to stop the arms shipments to the FSA from Benghazi. 
We just don't know yet.


What connections are there between the people who carried out the attack in Benghazi and the Islamic Extremists in the FSA in Syria?

We know that there are quite a lot of Islamic Extremist fighters from Libya fighting for the FSA in Syria. 

We know there are connections between Islamic Extremist groups in Syria and Libya. 

We also know (and as reported in the NY Times) that almost all the fighters in the FSA are Islamic militants. 

We also know the Islamic militants are also being armed by Saudi Arabia and Qatar, with the full blessing of the US. 
Syria is the venue for a proxy war between Sunni and Shia muslims. 
Assad is backed by Iran which is Shia. 
Saudi Arabia and Qatar are Sunni. 
Why does the US want to get involved in a sectarian war between Muslims?   

Barack Obama backed the FSA leadership at a conference a few months ago in Qatar. 
He thus gave his backing to Islamic Extremists.

John Kerry has just announced another $100m in "aid to Syria". 
I am sure Americans are all overjoyed at the prospect of giving even more of their tax dollars to Islamic Extremists. 
This follows the recent announcement of another $250m in aid to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and the confirmation that the delivery of F-15 war planes is to go ahead to Egypt.

(This report is disingenuous as Republicans like John McCain are also urging support for the rebels in Syria which are now almost entirely comprised of Sunni Islamic militants/Muslim Brotherhood.)

Witnesses to Benghazi are being intimidated in order to try and prevent them from talking. 
E.G. Gregory Hicks, Christopher Stevens deputy - who has since been demoted because he refused to be silenced. 
It's called an attempted cover up. 

US Officials blocked rescue efforts while Benghazi burned - Congress told.

While US diplomats were pulling bodies from a burning Libyan consulate and frantically smashing up hard drives last 11 September, their superiors blocked rescue efforts and later attempted to cover up security failings, according to damaging new evidence that may yet hurt Hillary Clinton's presidential hopes.

In vivid testimony to Congress on Wednesday, Gregory Hicks, deputy to murdered US ambassador Christopher Stevens, revealed for the first time in public a detailed account of the desperate few hours after the terrorist attacks on the US consulate in Benghazi.

He also said that Stevens went to Benghazi to beat a 30 September deadline to convert the mission to a permanent posting. There was additional time pressure because Clinton planned to visit Libya later in the year and to announce the opening of the post, Hicks said.

But Hicks and two other state department witnesses also singled out the government response for criticism. Until now that criticism had been largely dismissed as a partisan effort by Republican congressman to smear former Clinton, who was secretary of state at the time.

Hicks claimed Clinton's chief of staff, Cheryl Mills, telephoned him to complain that he had given critical evidence to congressional investigators without the presence of a "minder" from the state department.

They are subject to monthly or bi-monthly polygraph tests to make sure they aren't leaking what the CIA was doing in Benghazi.

"At this point it's clear that the U.S. had something to hide at Benghazi, and that's why reports coming out of the Libyan city have been so confusing.

Two key details about the the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi that killed four Americans cannot be underestimated.

"The U.S. effort in Benghazi was at its heart a CIA operation," officials briefed on intelligence told the Wall Street Journal, and there's evidence that U.S. agents—particularly murdered U.S. ambassador Chris Stevens—were at least aware of heavy weapons moving from Libya to Syrian rebels."

"What's odd is that a Libyan ship—which reportedly weighed 400 tons and included SA-7s—docked in southern Turkey on Sept. 6 and its cargo ended up in the hands of Syrian rebels. The man who organized that shipment, Tripoli Military Council head Abdelhakim Belhadj, worked directly with Stevens during the Libyan revolution."
