Debt Ceiling Crisis - some simple steps to fix it
Posted on 10:12 by Unknown
Stop paying the bills due to the arms companies and the drugs companies.
Stop paying the government subsidies out to the big banks, big food, big oil and big pharma.
Stop the tax refunds going out to large Corporations.
And you don't even need to raise the debt ceiling.
A few other things need to be done and you don't need to raise the debt ceiling EVER AGAIN.
If IRS agents are getting trained to use AR-15's assault weapons we had better get them to do something useful.
Send a squad of them round to the offices of JP Morgan, Goldman Sacs, Bank of America, Citigroup, Wells Fargo etc. and extract a payment of say $20bn each.
Such fees will be a small down payment of the fines expected to be levied for their multiple frauds over the last 10 years.
Mortgage fraud, LIBOR fixing, robosigning, money laundering, derivatives fraud, insider trading, lying to Congress, outright theft etc.
We could also levy some fines on the arms companies for war profiteering over the last 10 years.
Halliburton, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, General Dynamics, United Technologies, Blackwater etc.
Many of these companies should also pay fines for defrauding the government.
Then we could levy some fines on the large drugs companies for massively over charging for their prescription drugs in America for decades.
We could also charge BP for the real cost of Deepwater Horizon disaster (Halliburton too) not the trivial fine that they actually got.
Stop paying the subsidies to big oil and big food and any other large Corporations.
Stop paying "Foreign Aid".
The possibilities are endless of getting some of the money back that has been defrauded from taxpayers by large Corporations for decades.
Now that we have some breathing space, put in PERMANENT MEASURES so we don't need to raise the debt ceiling EVER AGAIN.

Oh and get rid of the over 500 idiots in Congress and the occupants of the White House that created this mess.
Stop paying the lavish pensions of ex-Presidents and ex-Congressman. The only one that I know of, that didn't contribute to getting into this mess, isn't claiming his Congressional pension anyway.
Stop paying Congress, Obama and his entourage and the White House staff (and their expenses).
That might help to focus a few minds and save some money.
