The media treat politics like a football match.

Posted on 11:31 by Unknown

The media cheer on one political side or the other, but whichever side wins does not matter to the media, as long as a game seems to have been played.
The closer the game seems to have been, the better.
Closer games garner larger TV audiences and larger ad revenues.

Big hits and crunching tackles keep the interest alive during duller moments.
If one side is winning a game too easily something will be done to make it a seem like a closer battle.
Only two teams are ever discussed.
Only two teams are ever allowed to compete.

Most of the crowd are freezing cold and soaking wet.
Most of the crowd are getting colder & wetter every year.
Average household incomes are continuing their relentless decline.

The owners of the teams and the media look out at the crowd with disdain, from the comfort of their executive boxes.

The result of any particular game or season makes very little difference.
As long as the crowds keep showing up and the TV money keeps rolling in, the same system will be in play.

It looks like the Neocon Fascists are trying to set up :-
Neocon Fascist Chris Christie versus Neocon Fascist Hillary Clinton for 2016.

The Neocon Fascists always like to own both nominees before any votes are cast, so the result doesn't matter.

The Neocon Fascists and the media set up :-
Neocon Fascist John McCain versus Neocon Fascist Barack Obama in 2008.
They set up Neocon Fascist Mitt Romney versus Obama in 2012.

Meanwhile the odds get shorter every year that any of the crowd will ever get a key to an executive box.
Social mobility in America is now in the bottom 3 out of the 30 or so developed countries.

When the results of the "game" are this dire, ALL of the media should be heavily critical of BOTH teams.
America's relentless decline is accelerating.
America's problems are easy to fix, but neither party has any intention of fixing anything.
