It took Rome over 500 years to do that.
It took the Brits about 700 years.
America is now looking to set a new record.
The shortest time ever to go from unrivalled super power to a 2nd rate power or nothing.
It took Rome 200 or 300 years to do that.
It took the Brits about 60 years.
America is looking to do it in about 30.
If America continues on in the direction it is going, pretty soon it will be America and Israel versus the rest.
Good luck with that one.
China and Russia are already in the process of signing up India, Brazil, Japan, Australia, South Africa, Chile, most of the rest of Africa, most of SE Asia, Saudi Arabia to be on their side.
Even Germany are now considering their options.
America now sees everything as a threat instead of an opportunity.
A complete reversal from just 30 or 50 years ago.
There are no real threats to America if it had a sensible government and there are loads of opportunities if it's current course was reversed.
China is now seeing multiple opportunities to take over the world (in a coalition with the Brics, SE Asia and resource rich countries).
America is handing out the opportunities to China and Russia wholesale.
The nomination of John Brennan for CIA director is yet one more step in completely the wrong direction.
Appointing John Brennan as CIA Director would just add confirmation of America's moral decline, create more enemies of America and push more countries into the open welcoming arms of China, by adding yet another recruitment tool for Islamic Extremists.
The beacon of light was snuffed out long ago.
To be replaced by the shadow of darkness, stupidity, moral decline, economic bankruptcy and collapse, authoritarian government of and for a Corporate elite; and the complete contempt and utter disdain of more than half the world.
Nobody likes bullies, like the American government has now become.
Nobody likes stupid people and the American government is stuffed full of those.
America really has reached a very sad state of affairs.
The Founders would not recognize it as the same country they fought to create 230 years ago.

America is now a Corporatocracy ruled by and for Oligarchs.
And it will all end in tears and poverty.
