Congress is now seeking to remove the Free Press protections afforded under the 1st amendment & the Fascist credentials of Dianne Feinstein

Congress is now trying to define limits as to what constitutes a "valid journalist" that qualifies for protection under the 1st amendment.
This is intended to suppress the thousands of bloggers and alternative news sites that report the real news and real opinions in order that only lapdog reporters continue to ever reach the eyes and ears of the vast majority of the public.

Matt Drudge recently called Dianne Feinstein a Fascist for seeking to impose limits as to what qualifies for protection under the Free Press provisions in the 1st Amendment.
It is certainly true that the lack of a Free Press is a hallmark of Fascist and other authoritarian systems.
Dianne Feinstein has demonstrated her Fascist credentials in a number of other ways too, e.g. her outspoken support of the NSA's Mass Surveillance on every American, in her crony capitalist activities in partnership with her husband to make herself rich.

A Free Press is guaranteed under the Constitution.
Real journalism is required for a Free Press.
Real Journalism is a process that investigates and reports facts and evidence in the public interest, even if - some would say only if, it upsets the government or other powerful figures with the truth.
A Free Press and Real Journalism are required to inform the public in order to hold any abuses of power by the government or other powerful figures in check.
Without it any Democracy or Constitutional Republic cannot survive - it will be supplanted by authoritarian rule by those who will take advantage of the lack of a Free Press to abuse power for their own personal interests or those of their powerful backers.

Quite a few people would say that America is already there, this is certainly intended as the final nail in the coffin for the American Republic.
